Project name:
CALM Action (The Canadian Animal Liberation Movement)
Started
2010

CALM Action provides training, resources, support, and internship opportunities for Canadian activists. I became involved with CALM in 2010, playing an integral role in a four-person grassroots campaign to shut down a fur store. After three months of a constant presence in front of the store, this campaign was the first-ever in Canada to successfully close a fur store.

In my work with CALM, I have designed and distributed hundreds of thousands of free animal rights outreach material to passionate activists across Canada. I have mentored and trained dozens of young activists and have led activist training camps. Along with another activist, I have designed the websites www.CALMaction.org and www.VeganOutreach.ca.
